That's supposed to be "boring science crap" that might be too confusing and "sciencey" for people to understand? Straightforward explanations using middle school level scientific terms? What's "boring science crap" about "prototype signal decoy?" The word "prototype?" Because if anyone was confused about what the term "signal decoy" was supposed to mean then I'd be pretty suspicious about their education. Is the average person expected to be too ignorant and stupid to know what the words "electromagnetic" and "olfactory" mean? Is the word "olfactory" really too "sciencey?"


Is every movie supposed to assume that the audience is composed of morons who need every single thing spoonfed to them using Dick and Jane language so they can just "turn their brains off" and watch the pretty lights and explosions? Because Michael Bay and Zack Snyder already have that audience firmly covered.


But I suppose this is just a natural consequence of movies being catered to audiences who scream "plot hole!" about any scene without an accompanying voice-over explanation followed by an immediate recap summary in the next scene using terms that a slow 4th grader could understand. (I have seen so many people scream "plot hole!" about so many things in movies that were either a blatantly purposeful mystery, clearly explained later, or so obvious it didn't require any explanation, that I can only assume that most people today watch movies are only half paying attention while carrying on conversations with two people and playing videogames on their phones.)


I really hope this trend swings the other way soon back to assuming their audiences have a functioning brain.
