What are your thoughts on Anthony Davis’ load management comments?

LeBron didn't start "load management", Greg Popovich did, when he sat his veterans, Duncan, Ginobli, Parker etc during the regular season to kep them fresh for playoff games.

colin can you just admit your a fan of curry cause he can shoot...stop saying hes a nicer guy or russ wont change or all this nonsense..curry is a pure shooter so he can play off ball more and hes just a better ball handler and has the right system and fit next to klay so thats why you liked him...russ looked pretty good too next to kd without klay just saying...give him kd klay iggy draymond he wins 4 titles too in a row..

Know this...aside from the Westbrook prediction at the beginning of his career, Colin has been correct like......80% of the time realistically. If he says Htown isnt going to work, it wont work

Easy. Do y’all want to see a good finals where the best players are healthy and have a asterisk finals like last year and 2015 Cavs? Or do you want your players to go out and play 82 in which the best player still won’t play all 82? More isn’t better Quality over quantity if you ask me

Russ got to ignore the opposing players. Stop getting into an individual matchup wit Rubio & Lillard & focus on making the right play and make good decisions with the basketball. Have focus and discipline and have awareness of time & poccession. Work on getting great shots instead of the homerun play

Harden expects Russ to take a backseat, and he believes he should because let's face it, he he's better. He's went farther in the playoffs every year, so he helps his team more. I was going to say Westbrook won't be willing to do that, he didn't do it with KD. I don't know though, didn't he do that with Paul George last year, and Harden is a much better scorer than George.

Parity in the league ESPECIALLY in the West will impact the load management. You can't risk losing games and a playoff position in the West. In the East LeBron and Khwaii could do it because the East is so weak. But in the West 5 games could mean first place, middle of the pack, or out of the playoffs completely. So I expect to see more injuries next season. But load management will not be an issue because most of the real stars that impact Championships are in the West.

Duncan, Parker, and Ginoboli were great for 2 decades. Let’s not forget one of the best, Tim Duncan with 5 rings, across 1999 to 2014. No one in the current NBA has 5..

The fans should start doin revenue management, choose not to go to the games, if the stars don’t want to play.

I support a player sitting out if he’s hurt, but sitting out for “load management” is different.

If one wants to be a professional athlete, and be paid like one, they should understand there’s a risk of becoming injured.

The load management issue is a bit of a catch-22. On the one hand you have players getting injured and are unavailable for the playoffs after such a long season. The length of the season inevitably increases the risk of significant injury and also simply wears player's down. For instance situations like James Harden and Steph Curry in the playoffs last year. On the opposite side of the token you have the fans the pay to go see the games and expect to see there favorite players. To a lesser degree there is a bit of an obligation to the people watching on television as well. I remember watching a game when I was little and it was in Detroit while Detroit didn't have a particularly good team and they were playing the Lakers, I was going to watch Kobe. Kobe ended up not only sitting out that game but he didn't even travel with the team so with no prior knowledge we showed up and watched one of the worst basketball games I've ever seen and didn't even catch a glimpse of Kobe. That said I don't see a solution that is mutually beneficial or works for both issues. I understand why players need to set out some games, especially in the lead-up to the playoffs. Also I see it from the point of view of a kid who just love to see his favorite player. I don't think shortening the season would help because not only was that the large revenue losses that neither the players, management, ownership, Nor TV interests would be willing to incur. I honestly think it's okay for players to rest games here and there so long as the team puts a competitive lineup in and actually actively tries to win the game without their first option.

Russell Westbrook averaged 30+ a game his MVP year and gave up his role as alpha scorer to get PG and melo involved. People said it wouldn't work because he wouldn't change his game but he sacrificed more. He made PG the best player on the team last season. Russell is willing to adjust his game. Lets also not forget that Harden played SG when pat bev was on the team . It wasn't until 3 years ago that Harden was the point guard he is. Russell was also a SG in college and played off the ball well when Raymond Felton and Dennis Schroeder were gone. It worked well because the PG would attack or run the play and get a good switch when handing the ball to Russ. Russ doesn't spread the floor well but he cuts, can get a pass and attack the rim and mess the whole defense up. These guys don't fit analytically but there is a way for all of this to work.

However, Steph's overall offensive impact is higher due to his playmaking and game-changing shooting ability. Statistically, Steph is probably the best offensive player of all time in terms of impact.
