The Creaper was actually my starter pen! Thanks for reminding me to ink it back up again soon, it deserves more love than I've given it since so many new shinies have distracted me since I got it.

I love the Pilot Heritage 92. I bought the custom 74, well because of Brian's love for it, and I wasn't disappointed. I picked up the 92 on sale and I personally like it better. Every aspect of the pen. You can cap it and it fits perfectly in the hand. I have the blue 92 and clear demonstrator in the 74. Of course, the blue demonstrator is so pretty! Yes, the Heritage 92 is a super great pen, especially with the piston filling mech. Enjoyed this video, thanks, guys! And has FM BUTTER SMOOTH nib.

Love Adrianne cadence when she speaks. Great choices, that pilot custom 92 is a hidden gem I never knew i needed. The Dialogue is my grail pen.

Noodler's midnight blue ink! It has virtually no press (I think there are a whopping TWO whole vids on youtube that cover the ink). Its a top favorite of mine.

I'm wondering if the Platinum adapter and a LONG international cartridge would fit inside the barrel of a Nakaya Piccolo. Anyone know?

Now they just need a little doodad to go the opposite way: One that allows a normal SI cartridge compatible pen to be compatible with platinum ink cartridges. I love their carbon black. Though, it is trivial to fill an empty SI cartridge with bottled Plat carbon black with a syringe or skinny barrel transfer pipette.

I tried to find the Platinum adapter on your site, but all I got in my search results were the Platinum converters. I just thought that you guys didn’t carry the adapter.

The Creaper is a great flex pen. It's a shame that more people don't give it a try.

I have a question (I don't know if this is where you guys collect questions but.....) I regularly use Organics Studio nitrogen. Everytime I fill my pen up, I unscrew the bottle and the ink has crusted around the bottle top. Microscopic dried ink sprinkles on my counter, and any kind of LITTLE moisture that hits it, causes a huge mess. Is there anyway to combat this? I've tried paper towels, and prepping, but I always get a mess.

That's sort of a known "issue" with ridiculously high sheening inks, which OS is great at. Really cleaning the bottle (especially the threads) and cap is the only way to combat it that I'm aware of! - Colin

The Kaweco plunger converter. I've got a few flying around, just for those cases where you buy a SI-type pen, you assume it'll fit the converters you have, it arrives and you find out some people have a very peculiar way of destandardising a standard design. With minimum fuss and cleanup, the Kaweco lets you use that pen while you find a converter to fit Goldilocks' tastes. Or just keep using the Kaweco if it turns out the right converter is thirty dollars and not in stock for the next nine months.

If it's just the opening of the converter that's giving you trouble, there's Online's standard international converter. The pens make me angry, but the converter is a thing of beauty. It seems to be a standard cartridge with the bottom replaced by a piston mechanism, meaning it fits every pen that can fit a long international cartridge.

Also, Online inks. They don't care much about what paper you throw them on. They don't eat pens. Minimal and recyclable packaging, regardless on if you want cartridges or bottles. All the colors are available as a cartridge--sometimes even their kombi-cartridge that also fits Lamy pens. Not the pinnacle of innovation when it comes to ink colors or properties, but they're generally nicely saturated, not too wet, not too dry, with decent shading.

Kudos for your website listing the actual paper color in the Nebula Notebook! As a consumer I can say that journal descriptions rarely include the paper color unless there is a choice. Always a pic of the cover, a choice of blank, lined, etc but no pic of the paper or mention of whether it’s white, ivory, or cream. I hope someday all journal descriptions everywhere tell us the paper color at least on the first click. Mini rant. Thank you.

I personally think the Dialog 3 doesn’t get enough love also because it’s price point just isn’t worth 2X the price of a VP. The Lamy gold nib for most just isn’t worth the price point. Also, at that point, there are many other pens that people would rather have.

Lamy Studio! It gets over looked because of the metal section. I don't find it slick at all, though! A solid pen, feels great, has a unique clip. The whole pen is a modern take on classic design

Gabe Madorma It’s an interesting color. Very wet ink, in the warden series, so it’s super tamperproof. Dry time is medium, and it has little shading, but it’s a good performer if you need a bulletproof green.

thanks for the video guys! just one comment/question... since you have an actual camera-person who is actively operating the camera, wouldn't it make sense to switch to manual focus? That way you wouldn't have all the mad zooming and waving around while trying to trick the autofocus sensor system into refocusing... Sometimes, automation isn't an improvement :)

The Lamy dialog 3 is very well made, but is on the thick side for most people. Also I have found that after 1 or 2 days the nib is dried out and needs work to get it started. The pen reviewers never talk about this factor. I don’t like a pen that cannot go at least a week without drying out. I tried several inks, including Monteverdi inks with their lube, and they all became hard to start after 1 to 2 days. It would be a great pen if Lamy could make it about 1mm thinner and install a more air tight seal for the nib.

Try Noodlers’ refillable/resealable cartridges. Make the Ahab easier to clean, use, and travel with. The cartridges hold a huge amount of ink, much more than the converter, and there is an insulating layer of air between the barrel and the cartridge, so no burping like when eye-droppered. At least they work well for me.

It is truly a myth that fountain pens have to be expensive to be good.
