I think Jaime/Cersei is maybe a depiction of the power of love... contrasted by Jon turning away from Daenerys. Jon loving Dany could have stopped her going ragenukeburncity.

GoT was never about prophecies or magic. I love Martin's series because it's a different take on medieval fantasy. That's not what you wanted and i understand, but that's not what was offered to begin with. The rush? yeah, we can all agree... but, if they say 6 episodes, there's so much you can do to properly advance a plot.

I loved it, Grace. She snapped, it can happen in an instant. There is no need to earn a snapping. You've nearly snapped over texting. Ofcourse she didn't care, the Starks wanted to betray her and "people" have never been close to her, people have always wanted a piece of her. She just got fed up and I respect that a female character was allowed to go there, no apologies.

Lost cause! I think the moment when they really lost it was when Danny turned into the Mad Queen. If it was her destiny to become the mad queen all along, they should've develop it better. I think the problem is that it was so sudden, it feels that it was not justified enough.

it was rubbish I think tbh... HBO as really messed up I think they need to remake the season and give us 1 or 2 more seasons to give us a better ending because the writing was rushed and not planned properly... and just think they are planning on making an GoT spin offs show I don't think I would want to watch that now and I think im not alone... not if they treat there best show like this.. the fans deserve better then this

Season is a lost cause. Ironically the season wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't the final season.

I think you're overinterpreting Danny's ridiculous sudden descent into madness as some kind of anti-female commentary. *All* of the characters have become stupid, erratic and irrational. Look at Sam, for example. He spent several seasons learning to become brave and finding his dignity and pride, only to revert to being a whimpering thumb-sucking sack of cowardly shit again in s8e3. Then there's Jon. He went from a guy with a very strong moral compass who developed the ability to make tough decisions quickly when needed to a guy who is suddenly now little more than a useless mouthbreather with no moral compass or leadership skills whatsoever. Really, every major and most of the minor characters have had this kind of treatment. It's not anti-woman. It's just criminally bad writing.

I think Deanerys will kill John because of his true lineage. And then I think Tyrion is going to kill Daenerys because she fell so high from the pedestal he put her on, then I think he's going to probably end up sitting on the iron throne

The thing in life is that things don't go the way you wanted to go sometimes. And that's especially with writers. Daenerys lost two of her best friends, everybody is turning on her in favour of Jon snow. Has been rejected by Jon snow. And she's lost two dragons and have her forces to go and help the North. And for all the trouble she has gotten nothing but f****** misery. Like the Joker says all it takes is just one bad day.

Considering all the ways the series could have gone this is not how I imagined it would go. I hope daenerys still wins. She quite literally Burns them all.

Dany was always going to end up being mad queen if you've been paying attention, it's just bad writing to get her there. This includes most of the characters. They are also using shock value instead following years of story lines (NK for instance).

There is reason behind Danny killing all the civilians in Kings Landing, although I did not see it at first as well.

Ever since coming to Westeros everywhere Danny goes she's met with contempt. The Turlys did not support her. Yara, Olenna and Ilaria Sand support her for her power (Dragons mostly) and not because they love her. Tyrion does not love her, he supports her out of logic at first and because of loyalty in the end. Jon was the only one in Westeros that loved her … until he didn't. In Essos she could rule with love, because the people/slaves love her. In Westeros she can't, because even if she would accept the surrender, they would never love her. And then there is Jon, who is beloved by the people of Westeros, which makes her furious. He is loved and has now a better claim. Fear or love are the only options Danny sees to ruling a country. And since love is no Option for Danny … well … if she wants to rule, it has to be through fear. So she goes for the thing that would make them fear her the most. Mass slaughter. Dannys main objective was never to be loved by the people, her main objective was to rule Westeros. She would have preferred to do so with love, but since that is not possible she changes her gameplan. Not ruling is simply not an option for her. And even ruling in Essos wasn't her strong suit.

So all she did is absolutely in character. Although everyone is allowed to don't like that, it is not bad writing or out of character.

Everyone has their bucket list of they want to happen season 8, I did myself, but that's not the point of watching the show, everyone walked in with their special list are now are crying and squeeling that certain things didn't happen because they don't want to understand and are shocked.

The worst part is that these writers can make the story unfold however they want it to, why can’t you just write a situation where it makes more sense when Dany goes crazy. Rhaegal and Missandei should have died in THIS episode. Also, it’s just the absolute worst that Dany goes off on the city AFTER DESTROYING ALL MILITARY TARGETS. Just show her getting a bit overzealous while she is killing enemy soldiers, but the breaker of chains just targeting women’s and children and just burning them alive like a school shooter with a dragon is beyond the pale. Also, Cleganebowl was so contrived and absurd and It wasn’t even a good fight and wasn’t satisfying in any way.

Burning everyone at once would have solved the claims to the throne, would have achieved her goal of being feared and would have helped her to detach from John as her lover too.
Especially, as the Dragon seems to have fuel for ages and is capable of singlehandedly taking over the city. Daenerys clearly needed no assistance whatsoever. Not after the last Dragon suddenly being almighty, doing away with all the anti-dragon weapons and thousands of people and massive stone structures with ease.

Also, Tyrion should have been executed alongside Varys and the guards. How did Daenerys just drop that whole releasing the prisoner thing, on top of everything else? Just another betrayal. Well, what can a queen of dragons do …

It will be reported one of the writers on in the midst of a divorce or something and he's hashing out all his issues towards women characters in the show, lol...it's no better with the men though. They have transformed alot if them in to lesser men than they were a few seasons ago by way of decreased logic, brawn and wit.

I'm not keen on what they did with Jaime but this episode was where Daenerys was always going. She's been getting steadily more bloodthirsty and less inclined to listen to reason ever since the Dosh Khaleen. I must admit I didn't see it coming, but I should have. I was too busy watching Jon Snow's arc follow the archetypal fairy-tale (surprise kingdom included) that I didn't notice Daenerys's arc was following the classic tragedy. But it was -- rise, hubris, catastrophe and all.

People can switch, theres a lot of explanation in the show that make sens with this writing. Really bunch of low IQ closed mind.
