    ▬▬ Information ▬▬
Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Based on the fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. A Game of Thrones is one of the most successful television series to ever made and continues to captivate audiences all over the world. The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil conflict among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North. Game of Thrones is set to return for Season 8.

All Red Arrows and Circles are placed in thumbnail for comedic and parody purpose. They do not point to or highlight anything in specific and are just there to make fun of other trash and awful YouTubers who use it to bait people.

Totally agree George RR Martin says the only thing worth writing about is the human heart, if this doesn’t represent the conflicts within the human heart I don’t know what does.

@Thomas Fernandez Well GRRM think he's going to live till he's 90+ so we may as well write them ourselves.

Sure I hate that he went into Cersei's arms instead of choosing Brienne(because really I do not care for Cersei, she is boring to me) but my main issue was that he did not do anything cool before dying. Here's someone that freaking saved the whole city and Dany and her dragon are burning everyrhing. I wish he would have gone after her and say "oh no bitch, you won't do that to my city" even if he dies in the process. I hate so much how the process of fighting the Night King and Dany was put together. Like there has to be a push by the main heroes to get after the main boss. Have all the main people with Valyrian steel fighting the White Walkers before the NK get at Bran. Like here instead of just Jon Snow, I wish we would have had genuine pushback from the heroes to fight Dany. A mix of Jon, Jaime, Davos, Tyrion, Arya, etc...

When he left Brienne, Jaime said "have you ever seen me go down without a fight?" meaning he cannot stay here doing nothing. But that also means fighting till his last breath, not just going for Cersei. But actually do something!

Benioff and Weiss got sick of it, now everybody’s sick of it. They ruined the whole thing. George Martin, I am not pleased with you any more.

It was the only fitting end, Cersie was his world, he did everything for her. Cersie broke him, he was never capable of truly feeling anything for anyone but Cersie. Which is literally what he told Brienne.

I wanted to see a cat fight between Cersei and Daenerys. I'd like to have seen if either of them could fight and who'd win. But instead she dies with Jaime getting crushed by rocks. It would've been better if Jaime died during the long night.

This was a good review! I feel like this wasn’t some weird ass distorted view, guided by a weird sense of expectation.
I think before the last year, you weren’t hanging with Preston so much. I’ve never liked his take on the show or books.

To the extent that a hero (which Jaime ended up being) is lost because of a character flaw, and, for Jaime, that flaw was Cercei, I have to agree that his arc was not ruined. Jaime was a human being, and he died a human being. He is one of my favorite characters, and I don't think I'll ever forget him.

Jaime's isn't the only out of character behaviour we've seen in the last season of the show. It's a trend that shows how little D&D care about wrapping up the show properly, they got sloppy. I thought it betrayed his whole storyline the moment he went back to Cersei after she used the wildfire on the Sept of Baelor. She did the very thing he dishonoured himself to prevent, it should've been the last straw and GRRM would never have let that happen.

Yes. it was ruined. He should never have had sex with Brienne. That ruined his arc and hers. It should have peaked when he made her a knight. The highlight of both their arcs. Then he could have gone on to do whatever he liked with Cersei because that is who Jaime was as a person. Loyal to just one woman. His sister.

0:16 Dude, nothing bothers you, you have no standards just an insecure fan boy ego which won't admit that what you like has turned to shit. You have continuously shown there isn't a shit bowl with GoT logo big enough that you wouldn't slurp up in an instant. In the meantime, in the real world where people do have standards, a petition to re-shoot season 8 that started just yesterday and on top of that before the season finale even aired, has already got a million signatures. THAT'S HOW BAD this series has become.

Children could tell a better story. The night king was suppose to be the huge villain, not cersi it was a shock to see how poorly this tv series give the fans the middle finger. It wasn’t snowfall it was ash fall over kings landing.
Jaime’s character arc doesn’t work because he had cut the tie already and Cersei had literally tried to have him killed for Petes sake and that somehow undoes all of his progression and makes him WANT MORE of that?
Well, that works if Jaime is basically a massive masochist with his sister-wife holding his balls...but that wasn’t really how he seemed to me?
But then why does he make it worse for Brienne by sleeping with her and THEN running back to sis?
It would have worked better according to your theory if he turned Brienne down because he already realised he was “bad” as he says in the episode 4?
That just makes him look like a dithering douche bag and him and Brienne should have stayed unrequited to highlight the path he could not follow!
What they have done is to make him so fickle that you cannot even trust he wouldn’t turn away from Cersei again if they had both lived?
They didn’t nail his character down enough to justify this stupid ending and that’s not even mentioning the stupidity of Tyrion releasing him to run to his death?
                                                          Nah~ You can’t polish this turd!🥴

He left Cersei and switched sides. Then he lays in bed for 10min after saying he was staying North and then decides to leave and go back to Cersei. He was a spiteful, arrogant human being, but he met this lovely good girl, who put him on the "redemption" path (somewhat like Jaime and Brienne) and for some time he seemed a changing person, becoming more gentle and good and so on, but at some point he just turned back, gave up on a girl and went back to his old ways. He told me he couldn't do it, cus he was a bad person and this good girl did not deserve it, even though she made him better, he was still bitter inside.

Imo, Jaime started out as actually an "anti-villain" but he was given a redemption arc, which of course shifted the way the audience viewed him over time. There are a lot of different flavors of these tropes, but they pretty much ended up viewing him as more of an "anti-hero" when everything was said and done. We're looking at characters like "Jack Sparrow", "Wolverine", "Dexter", "The Hound", "Loki", etc. (with exceptions of course depending on what movie you're watching them in/at what point in their development they're at/there are a million different kinds of anti-heroes and villains) I look at it like they're kind of a "you *should* hate them, but you don't and you either don't know why or the character has done something to redeem themselves at some point. to earn your support despite the fact that they still lack a lot of the traditional features that our beloved protagonist/hero has) Usually they're still sort of wishy washy and untrustworthy/cynical, but there's still a spark there that keeps you rooting for their character.

Anyway, that being said, anti-heroes usually come to one of two ends:
                                                                        1. they grow, change, or learn from their mistakes/change their point of view/find a new purpose in life
                                                                        2. they don't. they are ultimately unable to fulfill the hopes we've held out for them. in the end, they remain the same as they what they've always been on the inside, either unwilling or unable to find a way to change for the better

both of these ends are fine, generally, but the audience usually *wants* to see them live up to their expectations. So, if the antihero is going to end up showing their cards and it's what we've always feared.. that they really are just unsalvageable to their core, it needs to be handled right. I mean, Game of Thrones has always been good at selling disappointing things to us while at the same time making us forget about them by the next few episodes. I think that has a lot to do with pacing and the actual timing of things, which was not handled very well at all with the 6 episode cap. So even though Jaime going back to Cersei makes sense on the basis of his character, which is morally flawed and always has been morally flawed, it kinda just came out of nowhere. That paired with the fact that people have been waiting for Cersei to meet her end for sseeevvverall seasons now... they didn't want to feel sorry for her in her final moments, let's just say that lol

Sorry that was so long. Didn't expect to go that in depth lmao

I also wasn't feeling the mini boss fight tho. lol Jaimie story always has been about the limits of redemption and I felt he did redeem himself to a degree but cersie always was his weakness and bad side. They came into this world together they leave together.
