I have another question kinda weird . When I run at school for short distance ( 100m ) after I am at the finish line I generally have a really dry throat and I begin to tear up because of how dry my throat , is this normal ?

How about video on Kawasaki disease? Saw an episode of mystery diagnosis where even the doctors didn't know the symptoms. Mom at hospital called a help line for doctor replacement (forget the actual terminology) and doctor that came in knew immediately it was Kawasaki on the last day that treatment could be administered to save child's life. I've never forgotten that episode about 6 to 7 years now. Hope you see this and talk about this disease.

Also discuss about the option patients have to have another physician come in if they feel that care is lacking or inadequate. Like the mother did in this episode.

Polio cannot be fully eradicated unfortunately due to the use of OPV. Now that more people in developing world are against vaccinating their children, it will be inevitable for polio to make a return to the developed worlds once the polio vaccination rate drops below vaccination threshold for herd immunity. My uncle was fortunate to just be crippled from polio, I do now wish that on anyone.

Is there any research linking Polio and AFM? If they have the same or similar symptoms I'd look into it... But that's just me.

I got entrovirus (don't know the number) in sep 2016. I was 21 at the time. I had the same symptoms I was paralyzed too. Now, three years later, I still need a respirator, I have two assistants 24/7 because of that and I sit in a wheel chair but I can walk shorter distances. They say that I can get out of the respirator but otherwise I live on the hope.

I never ever expected to meet someone with this syndrom, but about two years later, my mom´s cousin got it - out of nowhere - and thankfully the doctors knew how to treat this right away, so he was able to recover within a little over 6 months ... !

I'm currently in nursing school but would love to become an NP someday. I would love seeing how your team of nurses uses collaborative communication in the findings of a rare disease such as AFM.

I think you should make a video of Toxic Shock Syndrom. Long story but I had TSS when I was 9 (I think. I dont remember too much from being in the hospital. I only know what I was told and have some vague memories). Had a fever of 105.5 and the first hospital I went to said to come back when it was 106. Long story short, they did a lot of tests, I had fluid around my heart, organs were beginning to fail, and tests were coming back normal. Had no idea what I had and TSS happens mainly in women using tampons but I was 9, had just started my period but wasnt using tampons. After everything, I started getting better and the doctors weren't really sure what it was but they suspect it was TSS. Still not sure how it happened. The only reason the hospital (a different one from the first I went to) took me in was because after the first hospital said to come back when it got worse, we went to the doctor and when they called my name I stood up and went unconscious and they had to call an ambulance. TSS is a very serious topic women should know about and not a lot do. I'm currently going to school to be a nurse, possibly work in psychiatry, and right now I work with adults with disabilities.
