    im from the uk n ive worked in 3 different supermarkets working the counters deli, meat and fish and i never seen this happen, like ever

          I bought marinated chicken leg quarters once along with some other meat at a store and my husband was actually the one who chose the packages and paid for it. When we got home and I took the meat out of the bags the odor of rotten rest hit me in the face. I was able to narrow it down to the marinated chicken leg quarters immediately. I couldn't believe neither he or the cashier smelled it! He took it back and gave it to the manager who allowed him to get a different kind of meat that didn't stink. I don't shop there anymore.

                  I worked at a golden corral buffet in toledo ohio and i worked the dessert area and when a kid put there finger in the chocolate fountain we had to empty and clean the fountain and put nrw chocolate in it but they had me keep the old chocolate and use it the next day i threw it out when they wernt looking but they found out and i got yelled at hell no was i reusing touched chocolate that was 5 years ago dont know if they still do this

                      Gross...todays meats are so full of crap its unreal. Hope your liver and kidneys hold up. Remember when you could go to KFC and chicked pieces were full sized? Eating 80% less meat and a lot more veggies. Most foods are poison.

                        I ate a Mindy's 25mg. chocolate peanut brittle edible that was over 4 years old. I got pretty stoned off of it, but didn't get sick.

                              I witnessed Maple leaf fresh foods have products come back . And they would repackaged it .things fall on the floor not washed packaged so that makes the meat even More Hazardous for the best before date is over. Because it cares germs to grow Quickly.

                                  This is a load of bollocks and the oldies will know it .Years ago most of us didn't even have fridges but we had no problem with food.The likes of milk for instance was kept in the sink in cold water as were many more items.Of course these days the so called scientists and other so called "experts" come out with all the same shite about "sell by dates " and apart from some perishables I totally ignore them.

                                                        Have been ordering my meat from a farmer I know who has a 2 week cycle. Every 2 weeks he only slaughters to fill the orders he got and it's delivered that same week without breaking the cold cycle in transport or storage... I thought that the taste difference was just because of the fact that his cattle are grass-feed as opposed to grain-fed... Might actually just be due to the fact that grocery store meat is probably weeks if not months old by the time I got it.

                                                                We go to a butcher now because all the crap about the literally crap about meats and I'm scared to eat meat anymore everybody handling it they used to have to take hepatitis B shots or be checked for it and now I think that they should be vaccinated before handling food clean under your fingernails people go to the bathroom get worse their hands or scrub their nails you try to be safe to cook it at home grow your own food in just go to The Butchers only thing I know to do we buy off them and we trust in so everybody should boycott these places..protest...your money ... it's a CEO getting richer of hard-working people and people with hardly any money so they should be held liable you have the right to ask anything you want to ask but you know the truth by them and by recalls and this and that

                                                                  I once had a New York cut of steak at a chili's restaurant that didn't taste right, the texture was off.. so I examined closer and could see the grain of the meat was crisscross and perpendicular. It was a coincidence that I saw a video on meat glued steaks the week or two before that night and knew what was going on. I told the manager and he comped the whole meal and all the alchohol!

                                                                    Yes, I was asked to temper with the cakes at the famous grocery store that I used to work. I tried not to compliant with their order as much as I could get away since it’s not ethical thing to do. Therefore my supervisors never liked me 😁

                                                                      Many items can be consumed safely way after their expiration dates, sometimes even for almost a year on some cases. Heck I have hot sauces that are 4 years old and won't go bad because with all the spices,vinegar and other stuff they have, there won't be any bacteria growing in them and they don't go rancid either.

                                                                                    Garbage reporting. Very misleading. I've worked in grocery stores and have only seen one example of this from one lazy kid employee. He was told to mark down some items as they were expiring soon but decided to give new best before dates instead as this was easier. I stopped it immediately and told him to fix them all. Many stores do have high standards. Besides, why are you even believing people who admit they themselves did this? Ever consider they might lie or exaggerate??

And the worst part is, as a consumer there's litterally nothing we can do to protect ourselves against this. Just 1 of the dozens of methods they use to squeeze us for every penny they can.
