@James CVP Dipshit, if people didn't care about the show they would not be upset about how terrible it became. Go suck another cock

@brandondalew You are an utter retard. If you weren't upset at the complete destruction of a once great show then you are a pure bred moron.

UnqualifiedGamer, I think it's a very close race. Dexter final season had me wanting to kill myself where as GoT final season had me wanting to kill other people.

Jaime was redeemed! Why does so many people think otherwise? He fought for the living and thus got forgiveness from Bran. He died on a noble mission to try to reduce bloodshed and get Cercei to surrender. His name was written into the history books in a positive light. He got his wish to die in the arms of the woman he loved. Its tragic but he was redeemed.

The very first lesson we learn in GOT was "He who passes the sentence should swing the sword". Daenerys never does this but passes the most sentences throughout the 8 seasons, always her killing done by other people or dragons. "They can live in my new world or die in their old one".

The greatest show had been destroyed by shit writing.

I really would believe Kit was despondent shooting his last few scenes. From what we've seen in the documentary bits, he was pretty hard hit by the show ending, like I'd expect anyone who loved the show would be... but to have such a crap ending, it had to sting even more.

I still have a hard time believing how badly D&D fucked the show.

Worst series finale of all time eh? well at the events of the series actually happened unlike Saint Elsewhere where it the entire show was in the mind of an autistic kid with a snow globe.

I agree with everything you said. I avoided the leaks - did not want to see any spoilers. I knew about the first dragon (viserion) - so I already thought the leaks were going to be true. Can anyone sum them up ? Thanks

Jon goes back to the nights watch as a nobody. A nobody when he was named king in the north, and could go back to that when breaking faith with Daenerys, and he is a Targaryen.

Why were they showing Jon Snow as a rightful heir of the throne, when ultimately they put him in the trash, What a disappoint.

Do yourselves a favor and watch this season if you're on the fence about it. I was a bit hesitant at first with the negative reviews we've all heard but I'm glad I did. It might not be the ending you were anticipating or hoped for (and yes it did have less than ideal writing at times) but I can honestly say I was overall satisfied and believe it gave the series well deserved closure

Bran is paralyzed from the waist down and can't sire children. Does this mean the throne will pass over to Sansa when he dies? Or will it go to Jon instead? Why would people want to follow a cripple? Even the Northmen who revere the Starks jape that it's better to be dead than broken. Robert was the same. How does that even make sense? I have more questions than answers. I'll happily wait for GRRM's 3000 pages of manuscripts to clear that up.

Good. Now let's all move on with our lives people. So many "fans" clearly watched 8 seasons with their eyes closed . How the hell didn't anyone not see this shit coming. It was foreshadowed a hundred times. Even the Simpsons predicted this shit. At this point there's nothing left to bitch about unhappy fans are just repeating themselves over and over.

Since Jon is half stark and Half Targaryen does that mean he will become mad later on too since all the Targaryens went crazy in the past and seems to be in the bloodline?? Or does being a stark cancel that out?

Guys, I just came off of seeing the last 2 episodes... and I honestly do not know what everyone is going bonkers about.
                                                            1. Dany had all the hallmarks of going on that rampage ever since she landed in Westeros, everything that had gone on prior could be attributed to her staying her hand and not outright sacking the city. The moment the bells rang, she was being asked to stay her hand once again. Would YOU honestly be able to do so after everything Cersei put YOU through?
                                                            2. Seeing a budding Mad Queen about to start a rampage across the world, and with Drogon unopposed NOTHING could stop her, would make anyone with a good heart think to stop the threat before it could do any harm.
                                                            3. The world finally changed. Two massive bloody revolutions not 20 years apart, and finally the cycle of Dynasties is shattered. Bran being King might be odd, but he's the Three-Eyed Raven, his will isn't his own any longer. At this point he's just following the part wrote for him in History to come.
                                                            4. Jon isn't being punished by being sent to the Wall, he's being set free to head to the True North and vanish into legend.

How is everything going not the way you expected at the end different than everything else that we've been entranced by for 8 bloody seasons??

                                                              • TheMrPangloss

As to Danaerys "predicted" as a to become a villain in hindsight "as she always was". There was nothing exceptional in her in that sense in the context of Westeros - except for the King's Landing bloodbath which was against her nature (this must be outruled because it was pasted on her greatly benevolent character appealing to her mad father). And as to villainy in general in Westeros, even the "goodie" Ned Stark executed the man who tried to tell him about White Walkers, then Red Queen persuaded Stannis to murder his own daughter. Randall Tarly's execution did not differ from Mance's execution by Stannis, not to mention that Olenna Tyler poisoned Joffrey (we did not like Joffrey but it was a crime), not to mention all the disgusting deeds made by Tywin terrorising the Riverlands with his army and the Mountain and his daughter Cersei murdering late Robert's bastard children and blowing up the Great Sept by wildfire. Why is it that Danaerys was supposed to play much more fair than anybody else - and she did to her own disadvantage for a long time? The same rules of honor bound her like any high Noble person in Westeros and playing fair did not help her - and actually playing fair was her nature. She yoked her dragons into captivity when Drogon had burned alive a herd's daughter. That she snapped at King's Landing starting to burn alive all moving in the streets did not make any sense - it was like something that had been pasted onto her character which was typically symphathizing the poor and wretched. This was just too simple and hasty way to end the story - and storywise it was too simplistic and too drastic for she was after all more complex a character and also her relationships with the others were not following that simplistic patterns - there was a conflict, yes, but it did not always take violent forms. And frankly, it is amazing how ungrateful the others were after her decisive help and huge sacrifices for the better in the battle of Winterfell, as if having used her and her resources as long as she was useful and then just discarding her and giving her no credit of what happened. It is as if the writers, including the Author, had a key character in a story and did not handle the situation as to how deal with a key character - she could have been given a chance to become an ordinary human being building a better word while her title, her Dragon and the royal Targaryen line could have been gone as having no signifcance. She, on the other hand, was significant as a person and deserved no character assassination and no eventual execution.

                                                                        - Spread season 8 over the usual 10 episodes. First 5 episodes to cover the Long Night, and the last 5 to cover the Last War. Gives each episode more space to breathe, more room for character development, and more time to tie up loose ends. Plus should've made season 7 a full 10 episodes as well to cover Daenerys' conquest of Westeros longer.

                                                                        - Explore the Night King's back-story and White Walkers in a bit more detail prior to the Long Night. We only had tiny flashbacks in season 6 and monologues throughout the series but that's about it.

                                                                        - Daenerys becoming the Mad Queen is totally fine as it was foreshadowed in the past 7 seasons. But they should've at least showcased small gradual moments of her actually going all-out loco under pressure before getting to the point she's at now instead of rushing headlong through her downfall.

                                                                        - Have Sansa at least share some scenes with Cersei to link back to their relationship in previous seasons.

                                                                        - More scenes of Daenerys and Missandei together to build up their relationship a bit before Missandei's beheading.

                                                                        - Extend the fight between Euron's and Daenerys' fleet a bit longer. And make Rhaegal die towards the end of the fight instead of at the beginning. So stupid.

                                                                        - A hopeful and redemptive arc for Jaime instead of a sloppy and underwhelming one.

                                                                        - I don't mind the idea of Cersei and Jaime reuniting in the end. Proves they're both inseparable regardless of what they've been through. But I think there should've been a more fittingly unceremonious end for Cersei to cap the brilliant buildup of her character.

What I got out it was that Dany was actually an SJW character the whole time and Jon Snow was the opposite. In order for their to be peace he had to kill her. And in order for their to not be a civil war; he couldn't take his place as rightful king. But he did become king of the wildlings who probably would have returned to the far north eventually.

If I took it as seriously as I do Star Wars, I'm sure I'd be as upset. But I'm not. I rather enjoyed the finale, and am fine with it as-is. I'm not checking out any dumb prequel series, though; HBO can kiss my ass.

She craved power, felt entitled to it, killed anyone who disagreed with her, attained power, tried to save all "POC", turned into a complete psychopath, had her pet POC help her kill all the white people.

She was a tyrant/conqueror from the beginning and she started to go mad king in season 7. All her liberations took place at the point of a sword. I knew John would kill her. The rest fucking sucked. Daenarys's death should have been the end to all kings. The new government should have been a council formed from the great houses. Instead all they did was get rid of hereditary kings. How come only Sansa's kingdom becomes independent?! Why didn't Dorne just invade? They're the only ones with an army left after all. Bran as king, oh fuck no.
