Scotty Kilmer Scotty I was actually looking on YouTube or something that could help me check my brakes out I'm told that they're locked up but I don't think they are and I have watched numerous mechanics talk about repairing different things but you do it in such a way that as a woman I understand it and it's not a bunch of mechanical words that I don't understand and then you show exactly what you're talkin about I love it as a matter of fact I now have you on my YouTube as the only mechanic I will go. Thank you so much and I love your energy keep up the good work and keep our cars going. Kay

We know conventional WD-40 is not recommended on timing belt, is WD-40 silicone lubricant also not preferred on timing belt?

BTW, WD-40 recommends using WD-40 white lithium grease for car door hinges instead of silicone lubricant officially.

WD-40 removes rust he says ..... look at the WD-40 can at 6:30 Scotty's using..... the top is covered in rust. So, the only thing WD-40 can't do is 'spray itself to remove its own rust'....

do NOT use wd 40 on electronics. It's not made for it, and will probably destroy it. Also don't use contact spray. All both do, is temporarely fix the issue, it'll come back worse. Use it for what it's made for.

WF40 is a penetrant with the side effect of being a lubricant....temporarily. The taxi drivers take their doors which were wearing out to my mechanic. They used WD40 on them which seemed to work, but...more worn hinges. Investigating the mystery, he discovered WD40 evaporates quickly, and started using Fluid Film, which is the opposite- a lubricant with the side benefit of being a penetrant. Now he uses Fluid Film on all his man parts, and the doors stay working. Fluid Film is made from sheeps wool oil. Moral: Use a LUBRICANT not a PENETRANT on squeeky man parts.
