I say she's still married in the show as well clearly LF uses that Tyrion never slept with her on her wedding night so the marriage annulled I don't think it works that he could easily financed the HIGH sparrows

I've read somewhere that GRRM intended Tyrion to fall in love with Arya in one of his first layouts of the books, so there might be a possibility that after meeting Sansa again and; like you said in minute 5:00; seeing how she has grown, Tyrion could be more than impressed with her and even fall in love with her, depending on how GRRM continues Sansas and Tyrions storyline.
Nevertheless I think that they would fit together quite well and I'm absolutley looking forward to their reunion in the books, if it happens (hopefully).
In addition, their reunion and some dialouges in the show were really lovely and I'd wished to see more about them.
Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes, still learning =D

So technically, since in the show Sansa is a widow of Ramsey Bolton, the last legitimatized Bolton heir, does this mean that the Starks (through Sansa) now control the Dreadfort as well? I wonder if the books will follow this path using Jane Poole as Arya.

The X factor is Tyrion's status as a criminal- does the conviction nullify the marriage and his right to inherit since he is sentenced to death and/or exile? (in the same way taking the black or swearing to the Kingsguard does?) hmm... Night's Watch (take the black/black cloak) Kingsguard (take the white? white cloak?).

A conviction with a sentence of death and/or exile would certainly be grounds for anullment if Sansa requested it, and she would certainly be off the hook if he were executed, but what about exile?

IN AMERICA 2019....A few states require consummation of the marriage through sexual relations, but that's not the norm. ( STILL) just saying....

Fans of their ROMANTIC, not only POLITICAL union always forget one important thing (no, not appearance and small height) - they both need opposite types, Sansa wants a "knight", who will be into family, kids and her, even now when she became a powerful and strong lady of Winterfell
Tyrionn is a man who searches for passion and being into each other more than into other things, and i don't mean sex only
Yes, he isn't into whores anymore and she doesn't dream to make gold haired babies for the king but they still can't satisfy each other's expectations
                  Yet they're great friends

"I will not rape her" Tyrion is a very intelligent man who knew that Sansa did not want the union. That is Why he defied his father. The marriage , Sansa knew would put her under Tyrion's protection.

I have to wonder though in the show whether or not Little Finger just told the Boltons that Sansa's marriage had been annulled with it not necessarily being true.

On a unrelated note😂 I hope Sam will be the one to notice the white walkers in the cryps and blow the horn of winter so we finally find out what that thing does. Maybe it’s not broken but sounds for the dead? My hope is that it shift control of the whites to to holder of the horn... or raise the Starks or something 🤭He has been carrying that thing around long enough now. Hope the show will do something with that

I wonder. At this point I think Sansa wants to be loved and to be safe. Tyrion has always wanted to be loved. Both if them have been manipulated by those in power over them. Both have tried to use any power they had to protect their family or those less fortunate. I think they would be good for each other and as a couple could do good for the realm.

It would be rather interesting take on happily ever after if tyrion and sansa ended up togther some what happily married and yes i use the words "happily ever after" loosely as we all know weather your fan of the books or the show, even both George R martin did not write the game thrones books on the bases of happily ever after. But i do believe there is a touch fantasy in this paring via the show i see alot of comparisons between sansa and tyrion, and classic brothers grim tales such as the frog prince and the little donkey where often times the male lead is in perticular is a rather hanis moster betrothed to beautiful woman and the monster finds a way to impress the girl through a form of meotmorphis, now im not stateing Tryion is somehow going to turn into jamie no but as in deep geek stated i think tryion and sansa may find themselves attracted to each given the changes mentaly they have both went through.

Tyrion will be turned on by Sansa’s political prowess, and she’ll be more likely to find him attractive based on his personality.

Sansa is not married to Tyrion Lannister because, ALL marriages under laws of the Seven Kingdoms must be consummated. Even today, that is modern law. Sansa was FORCED to marry Tyrion against her will. She saw her beloved father beheaded before her eyes by Lannister monsters. Tyrion never consummated his marriage with Sansa. Therefore, their marriage is annulled. The Hound has been kind to Arya Stark & Sansa Stark. Yet, why does no one suggest they marry? Do women always marry the kindest man they know? They do not. Too much that's bad has happened between, House Stark & House Lannister, which killed her father, brothers, mother and beloved servants. Even, Lady, her beloved, dire wolf died because of House Lannister. Sansa has been tortured by the Lannisters, stripped of her dignity & ridiculed. Sorry Sansa, can do better than a hand, who drinks, whores, murders and has no nose & has the hots for Dany & is still loyal to his lioness sister. He murdered his father, his mistress. Their lovemaking would be distastefully awkward. Attraction is about more than kindness. There must be SEXUAL chemistry and attraction for marriage to work. There must be LOVE & RESPECT. Its war between Starks & Lannister. Relationships aren't strictly platonic & only about good manners. That's Tyrion's manners not love. . Tyrion's character is not honorable. Also, Tyrion is not IN LOVE with Sansa. He will likely become an evil hand like Blood Raven or a dead one after his betrayal of Dany. Maybe Lady Sansa Stark will marry a Blackfyre from the golden company? Maybe an Umber or Ser Jorah? Perhaps Lady Sansa will remain single? Her relationships have been monstrous & always against her will. In any case, Sansa will probably get killed anyway. It would take an extraordinary, accomplished & smitten man to get through the defenses and walls Sansa Stark has developed. She's cold & distrustful. Tyrion is jaded, murderous, vengeful, lustful & bitter & viciously murderous. Perhaps Sansa will marry a Northern Lord only to hold on to Winterfell? Lady Stark is staying in the North. She isn't going for Southern plots, traps and intrigues. She's fiercely loyal in protecting her family and she is a practical survivor. So she will likely marry for House Stark of her own free will. Sansa's best relationship right now is with Winterfell and the Vale.

Nice video. I had thought exactly the same. There is clear sympathy between them, and now that Sansa experienced how cruel is this world and how Tyrion was so good to her from a position of power, I am sure she will respect that even more. At this era so many men just raped women, and Tyrion protected her, even though Starks and Lannisters were at war. I thought that if somehow there is a confusion whether this marriage is still valid, they might consider to try again as a couple. Considering Sansa's psychology, after what happened to her (in the tv series), Tyrion's personality is maybe what Sansa needs. I think she needs her independence and not a 'strong man' that will 'put her in her place' as a woman of her era. Anyhow I think that this is possible, and also will favour the peace in the future politically.

Without even watching the video I can tell you categorically that the answer is NO! There marriage was never consummated, therefor, it in effect never actually existed...It was, in effect, in name only.

In the books, Margery married Tommen when he was 9, it was never consummated, but she was still his queen. So my bet is Tyrion and Sansa are still married and her union with Ramsay is actually null since it was under duress (or at least that's how they will nullify it in the show, since she never married him in the books). I'm a bit sad though, cause I love both Tyrion and Sandor and in this, there is no way both could live happily ever after with Sansa.

Well I have read the comments and am ready to clarify the matter for anyone interested. Lady Sansa is still married to Tyrion. She never annulled her marriage and as was hinted to in the video, the marriage being annulled would have to be sanction by a septon. This was never done, but for political reasons deemed so by the Boltons. The Lannisters I don't believe ever did and they sat the Iron Throne. With the Boltons gone, I do not believe anyone alive would legitimize the "marriage" between Sansa and the Bastard.
I therefore believe in truth, Lady Sansa is still married to Lord Tyrion although the marriage was never consummated.

I think she will be forced to get married in the show if she wants to keep the Stark bloodline going (unless Arya has children, but I don't see that happening). The issue is, "there must always be a Stark in Winterfell". A Stark, not a Lannister. I can imagine Sansa adopting children or marrying a commoner so as to keep the Stark name.
So, no re-marrying Tyrion for her, though he is by far the most decent man she's been betrothed or married to.
In the books, well, we'll see if Littlefinger carries out his plan of marrying Sansa to Robin's heir and conveniently have both Robin and the heir die in the correct order. I think he will annul Sansa's marriage to Tyrion in any case, and that Sansa will arrive at Winterfell as Lady of the Vale. We'll see then how they/she manages to keep both Winterfell and the Vale.

@C Truth I was about to rubuke what you said but then I found I'd gotten something wrong myself. I could have sworn Henry VII married Richard III's wife but it was actually his neice, my bad and does put a dent in my theory. But I'll post my reasoning anyway for posterity.

I'll sum it up with this.
                                                                          Richard III Regarded as:
                                                                          Killed his nephews
After his death Henry VII married his wife to secure peace. (was wrong about this, was Richards neice)

                                                                          Tyrion Lannister regarded as:
Killed at least one of his nephews
Married to Sansa Stark, if he dies then whoever takes the throne, especialy a lannister, marrying Sansa would be a similar end to the conflict between Stark's and Lannisters.

                                                                        • C Truth

I love the San-San theory. But I’m rooting for Tyrion to be her husband permanently. She is the one woman he has respected. And he has remained faithful to their marriage (in the show). Even in the brothel he didn’t hire anyone.

Not her name or status or anything. Both Tyrion and Sandor work for this. Especially in the books... That false memory !!

He may be a Lannister, but he is kind to her and takes into consideration that she isn't ready to consummate their marriage. When you consider she could have married Joffrey, really she lucked out.
