It’s confusing why this of all topics is “presented by Lululemon” (top right corner). What does Lululemon have to do with North Korea???

Why can't they go back to the great regime? If they don't wanna live here, the govt don't want them , going to NK seems like the most logical decision....

How can you produce this without even mentioning all the South Korean schools who form the majority of Korean schools in Japan. That would make the documentary more honest, and the cuts to subsidies for Korean schools more meaningful.

                                    Basically, they are trans-racial?

The case seems pretty sound. Essentially, culture, ideas, beliefs, and economics make you a certain race, not where you are born or your skin color?

Why is this concept so acceptable and concise here but not considered possible in the context of American life?

So the video said these people were originally from the South Korean region anyway. They're not even funded by North Korea anymore, why not just switch allegiance to South Korea.

Why treat North Koreans with such discrimination? Japan freakin destroyed the Korean culture tbh so why do it to kids who only want to live?

Because this video is telling lies. These children aren’t being discriminated against or in any danger. The vast majority of Japanese citizens have nothing to do with extreme nationalist groups. If there was so much discrimination, why was Japan funding them in the first place?

It feels like they really don't want to integrate into Japanese society. I'm Brazilian, and we are the biggest Japanese community outside of Japan. 4 or 5 generations have passed since the first Japanese stepped on our soil and they are now integrated to society. They were born here, they are Brazilians, they recognize themselves as Brazilians. They've never lost their cultural heritages anyway, it's actually very well preserved. But, what I mean is, Korean people in Japan seem like they didn't become Japanese thoughout all those years as Japanese people in Brazil did. Such a bad thing for them, this way, the cycle will remain happening as the video said...

It's also fascinating that every single interviewee speaks exclusively in Japanese, rather than Korean, and that Vox doesn't mention this to make sure viewers understand.
