i dont quite get how it creates a bomb
the radiation will stop amplifying once it melts the mirror. i dont quite see how that would create supernova levels of explosions.

So, if Planet X is actually a primordial black hole the size of a grapefruit, this means we might have a ridonculous energy source that might actually be accessible to us, eventually.

As we humans have not exactly gotten to try this, therefore we would not even know that a black hole actually has "infinite gravity"? I'm not trying to say this isn't real but, as a decently unsophisticated species, how would we have come to these conclutions from.. well... barely any info... for all that we know black holes could just be empty pieces of space, right?

                                                                      • mrkiky

But even before we did, we could still deduce things about objects in space based on observations and it's no different with stars and black holes. Of course it is largely speculation, we haven't actually cut a black hole in half to see what's inside. We haven't even dug deeper than 12km into our own planet. That doesn't mean that we can't measure the influence of the stuff that's inside.

                                                                      • Wolf_Eye 659

Well enough that we can launch a craft from our spinning and rotating planet precisely enough for it to exit the planet's orbit at just the right angle at just the right time to slingshot from other planets orbits so that it reaches an object billions of miles away after a few years. And we're talking about planets and objects that are only faint dots in the night sky viewed through a telescope. Talk about barely having the technology. Efficiently mine/smelt stuff? Take the phone out of your pocket and think about the fact that it's entirely made out of rocks and sand and think about what it can do. If you really wanna know how we can assume to know stuff, there's only one way to find out and that's to start studying.

                                                                      • Wolf_Eye 659
