Give it some time, and the Democratic Party will bring this in America. CNN and MSNBC will be happy to keep working for them.

@Denis Morissette Don't just write that hebneh is wrong. Explain why. Provide an incentive for readers to _believe_ you. Justify your reasoning. Expound upon your argument.

It already has been brought to America, and it's venerated and believed by millions. It's called Fox. It's the unofficial propaganda arm of the Trump regime.

........I'm curious as to how this was recorded..I know that Germany had the magnetic wire recorders for audio recording.....
....also wonder if there may be some word play in the German language when concert camps is mentioned,, we know of concentration camps ,, I believe that the accomplished Jewish musicians were gathered from the camps to perform for high ranking military and public officials..
....I remember in the fifties that TVs were set up in public halls or schools after hours, cafes, pubs and people would stand outside stores also and watch tv through the shop windows.

@hebneh I believe they are film productions broadcast on TV. Irrelevant to the discussion, but your comment reminded me that "the world's first magnetic tape recording is of a speech by Hitler."

                hebneh  2 months back

These are movie films, either 16mm or 35mm. While magnetic audio recordings were being made by the late 1930s, there were no visual magnetic recordings (videotapes) till about 1958 in the USA. The films seen here are either re-creations of live TV broadcasts (the young blonde woman and the "comedian") or they were film productions that were broadcast on TV.

I am not too sure about what the commentator said at 1:10. It's either one of the most sick and twisted things anyone has said or if he's mocking Nazi Germany it's one of the most courageous things anyone has said.

As always the Germans so far ahead than the rest of the world even with first broadcasting network. And TV programs etc.... Don't be jealous haters the Germans have always been ahead especially then because they weren't dumbed down with democracy. Its amazing what happens when the people are in control of there country.

"...they weren't dumbed down with democracy." If you'd talked to the residents of East Germany from the 1950s up to 1989, they would've violently disagreed with you about being "dumbed down with democracy."

This segment of the sexy hot-pants cowgal is clearly identified as dating from 1936. This was years before the crackdown on evil American swing music happened. The USA was not the official enemy of the Nazis until war was declared in Dec. 1941.

contrary to popular belief. the BBC was not the first ever TV station. but in fact the Paul Nipkow Deutschen Channel. Paul Nipkow was a German engineer who was the first one to make the image to screen machine. seeing the opportunity the Nazis used the station to broadcast propaganda. the British and Americans were the first ones to make radio. but the Germans were first in television. If only it were used by more...brighter people.

If we determine whether a TV service is for-real or not by whether it offers a reasonably high line standard then 180 lines low definition TV doesn't cut it. The BBC started with two line standards in November 1936 - 405 line Marconi-EMI and 240 line Baird. That was in November 1936 and the Germans didn't upgrade to 441 lines until February of the following year. That said more pre-war German TV survives because the Intermediate Film system worked well enough there but not for the Baird team at Alexandra Palace

Propoganda is like that. Nonetheless, this is a great video. Just as today, Germany then, was cutting edge in technology. What they had, they had before anyone else in the world. Jet planes, rockets, super highways – and television. Germany now, is just as innovative. 70% of its energy is clean renewable. America? Not so much.

Germany did not have television "before anyone else in the world". It was under development concurrently in more than one country. The USA had primitive TV broadcasts by the late 1920s, but unlike most other countries it was never controlled by the government and was left to private commercial interests to work on. This meant that, unlike the German government constructing "television parlors" for the population (whose content they controlled 100%), the USA had competing networks and manufacturers all happening at the same time. TV sets were put on sale to the public by 1939 in America but broadcasting was only occurring in a few cities then, sets were extremely expensive, and the screens were very small. All this held TV back in the United States till after WWII, when its growth exploded and quickly far exceeded the rest of the world.

No. Television existed far earlier than this in the US and Scotland where it was simultaneously invented. In the US, TV stations existed in the 1920s and by the 30s there were a few ongoing stations, and at least one in the UK. Nazi Germany was perhaps the first nation to formalize television broadcasting at the state level, but it was intermittent and never really caught on beyond the Olympic coverage.
