Tyrion mentioned his father many times after season 4 but I don't think he ever mentioned Shae

Who lit all those torches in the walls? And why? Nobody goes there anyways and it would take an enormous amount of work to keep swapping them all day long. So many questions...

Jaime knows his father was wrong, and that he would've killed Tyrion for nothing. That's why he took it upon himself to save his brother's life and stop his father from carrying out a horrible crime. Clearly Jaime, who admires his brother and considers him a realist, expected Tyrion to be the better man, let it go, and enjoy his life somewhere. So for Tyrion then to murder their father for wanting him dead (even though Jaime protected and saved him), it's like he threw Jaime's love and kindness in his face. Put yourself in Jaime's shoes. From his perspective, Tyrion was beyond ungrateful and selfish to kill their father after Jaime defied Tywin and Cersei to set him free. Not to mention the consequences that came after - his daughter was killed by Lannister enemies that never dared lift a finger while Tywin was alive. So it's unfair to call Jaime unreasonable for being angry with Tyrion in this scene.

Makes more sense in the books though. They didn't include the full story with Tysha who was the 'whore' he married. Jaime lied to Tyrion about her being a whore, she was actually just a girl that was in love with Tyrion. Tyrion hates Jaime and Tywin in the books after he learns this and becomes a much darker character.

Davos and Tyrion are one of my favorite characters in this series. I would really like to see Davos, Tyrion, Bronn, and Tormund to meet and have banter to each other. Also, throw in the Hound too as well.

I’m confused. I wasn’t under the impression any of the Lannister children were overly fond of their father, their mother sure, but not Tywin.

tiyabear Jaime And Cersei Both Did love Tywin. (Jaime Most Of All i think) they might not have had a connection to him like the Starks have to their kids but He was still their father. Cersei Learned So Much From Tywin And In S5 E1 When theyre standinh next to Tywins Body Cersei Says To Jaime “He Loved you more than anyone in this world” Cersei And Jaime still had a lot of love for Tywin.

He was still their father. When Jaime talks about killing King Aerys, he always brings up being ordered to kill Tywin as a deciding factor, as though saving half a million people wasn't incentive enough. There's also the fact that Jaime knew Tywin would have preferred to not execute Tyrion, because he's a Lannister, and would rather he live somewhere that he couldn't embarrass the family with his alcoholism and lechery. Tyrion killing their father was personal and unnecessary, and was particularly hurtful to Jaime, because he had agreed to give up everything he wanted to save his brother's life, and that was how he repaid him.

You're not making sense. Tywin clearly had the power to overrule the death sentence, because he told Jaime he would if Tyrion confessed.
Tyrion losing the trial by combat, according to the wiki (which takes both book and show canon) has NO effect other than pronouncing him guilty - which is exactly the same thing as if he had confessed. Which means Tywin still had the power to offer Tyrion that deal. He CHOSE not to.

I do love that Tyrion reminds Jaime that their father wanted to execute him for a crime he didn’t commit after Olenna confessed to Jaime that it was she who killed Joffrey.

Am I the only one who things Jaime was being an unreasonable ass? He refused to accept the fact the Tywin NEVER cared about his children or his grandchildren they were all pawns to him and he WAS going to kill Tyrion. Plus it also amazes me the fact that he doesn't understand the cersei is pure evil yet he still thinks she is a good person.

No, I totally agree with you. Jaime was being an ass here. But you have to remember that he didn't have the same experience with Tywin that Tyrion did. He was always treated much better than him. To him, Tywin was his sometimes strict father who he loved, and who protected the family. Tyrion took that away, and the entire family immediately went to shit.

Also, Cersei's NOT "pure evil". Literally the whole point of GoT is that NO ONE is pure good or pure evil. Cersei was raised by a man who didn't know how to love, was sold off like cattle to a man she hated, had three children who were all murdered, was tormented and humiliated, and has totally lost her mind because of that. Evil isn't born, it's MADE. Cersei was made evil by her experiences.

That's all well and good, but I think a bit more flavor could've been added to the dialogue. They both skipped around the obvious; Tyrion did what he did not because he was afraid of being killed, but because he found Shae in Tywin's bed. When I first saw this scene, I expected Jaime to give some contempt-laden remark about Tyrion betraying the family over a woman once (by killing Tywin), and now betraying the family again for another woman (the Dragon Queen). As often as Tyrion makes cracks about Jaime and Cersei's "arrangement," you'd think Jaime would've jumped all over that. On the other hand, Jaime isn't that big on put-downs; that's more Cersei's department, as she often berated Tyrion about his taste (or lack thereof) in women and how it controlled his thinking. But I don't think even SHE took a stab at the elephant in the room when Tyrion went to see her. I think that was a missed opportunity.

And from the look Tyrion gave Davos it seems that Tyrion didn't even know Davos lost a son in that battle.
